I created these cinemagraphs with the intention of reminding myself that they represent a moment of transition from painting to cinema. Their very name reflects this duality—half cinema, half graph. A still image infused with subtle motion, they embody the threshold where visual art transforms into film.

Everything Fades

The burning reflection in the clock embodies time’s impermanence—and it’s ironic that in a cinemagraph, where we expect motion, everything is frozen, even the burning page, underscoring that all things even time itself eventually fade away.
